Keystone Electronics is broadening its selection of printed circuit board (PCB) fuse holders to include a new SMT mountable fuse holder that specifically allows standard 5 × 20mm glass cartridge fuses to be mounted directly onto a PCB surface.

Designed to meet the demands of modern high-density circuit boards, this new fuse holder combines robust overcurrent protection with the efficiency of automated manufacturing to bridge the gap between traditional glass fuse reliability and modern SMT production lines.

Rated for up to 10 Amps, 500 VDC, these new holders secure space on printed circuit boards without manual soldering. Holders feature a durable PA9T UL94V-0 base with specially tensioned tin-plated brass contacts, enabling low contact resistance with optimal performance while ensuring the fuse remains securely fastened against severe vibration and mechanical shock.

The new holders are supplied in both bulk or tape and tape-and-reel formats, as well as an optional holder cover. All tape and reel parts are packaged per ANSI/EIA-481 standards for compatibility with most vacuum and mechanical pick-and-place assembly systems.

Keystone Electronics Corp. offers interconnect components and electronic hardware. Modifications, special designs, stamping, machining, assembly services, and application-engineering support are also available. Keystone is ISO 9001:2008 certified, with its headquarters in the United States and global offices in Europe, Canada, Asia, and Australia.
